Wide-ranging experience

One of Mango's partners covered the CEO position at Jazeera Airlines based in Kuwait during the first half of 2009. Major initiatives included: a restructuring of Jazeera's route network, including the exit of its Dubai base; revamping and expansion of Jazeera's entire commercial set-up, and the establishment of a 15% unit cost reduction programme.

Taking advantage of the liberalisation of the Saudi aviation market, Mango conducted an initial proof of concept before commencing in 2005/6 the full scale start-up of this Saudi based LCC, since branded Sama. Mango managed all aspects of businessplan implementation through set-up and full launch in 2007, completing all assignments in 2008.

Mango people have worked various due diligence projects covering financings and acquisitions. The most recent of these was in support of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines' acquisition of Pullmantur SA of Spain. Mango conducted a strategic and commercial review of Air Pullmantur, the in-house charter airline.

Silverjet was an innovative new entrant to the low cost airline sector during 2007, focussing on the longhaul business market and launched to an extremely tight timescale.

Mango people assisted in the business plan development and fund raising, as well as setting up the payment systems and card acquiring arrangements.
